European Urban Forum (EUF) collects, stores and uses certain personal data of its members and other contacts (such as newsletter subscribers, event speakers, website visitors, suppliers etc.) and is the controller of these data in accordance with European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR – 2016/679).
European Urban Forum is a not-for-profit association under Belgian law (ASBL).
EUF’s GDPR compliance explained
European Urban Forum may collect and process the following data:
- Title (Mr., Ms. etc.)
- First name and last name
- Professional address
- Professional email address
- Professional phone and/or mobile number
- Job title
- Company or organisation details
- Membership of professional organisations
How personal data is collected
European Urban Forum may collect your personal data directly from you, or from the company or organisation you represent. You have the right to be informed of the exact source of your personal data upon demand. European Urban Forum may collect your personal data because:
- You have subscribed to their newsletter and/or mailing lists;
- You have taken part in or registered for one of their activities;
- You represent a company or organisation that is an EIF member;
- You represent a company or organisation with which EIF has a business relationship or a partnership.
How personal data may be used
European Urban Forum may use your personal data to organize their activities or send information regarding their activities to you or to the company or organization you represent. The processing of your personal data is based either on your consent or legitimate interest. EUF will not use collected personal data for automated individual decision-making, including profiling.
How long personal data is stored
EUF will continue to process received personal data until informed by you that you no longer want to be informed regarding EUF and its activities or by your company or organisation that you no longer serve as contact person.
If EUF has a business relationship with the company or organisation you represent (e.g. you are a supplier of goods or services), EUF will continue to process your personal data until three years after the last business contact with the company or organisation. If the personal data is on legally binding documents, the data is kept for maximum three years after the statutory storage period of the documents from which this personal data is derived.
You have the right to access, modify, remove and transfer your personal data and, in such cases where this is legally possible, the right to revoke your consent for the processing of this data.
How we use cookies
A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer’s hard drive. Participation in events
By participating in events organised by EIF guests are giving EIF irrevocable consent to take videos, photos and sound recordings of you at the event and to use them on EIF’s website, newsletters, social media and promotional materials.
